    Joanna was appointed as Managing Partner in May 2013. She joined the firm in 1991 as a trainee solicitor and became a partner in 1999. She is also former Head of the firm’s Employment & HR team.

    As Managing Partner, Joanna is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and she works closely with the Board to ensure the achievement of the firm’s overarching vision and core objectives. She does this through a commitment to operational excellence and quality control, as well as maintaining a focus on client service to ensure the firm delivers on its promise to deliver maximum value to its clients.

    Alongside the priorities for the business, Joanna is passionate about creating a positive, supportive culture that gives everyone at the firm the best chance to excel. She takes a values-led approach to management and champions topics that are important to creating an inclusive workplace, such as diversity and flexible working.

    In her practice area, Joanna is an experienced litigator with a reputation for advising on complex litigation both in the High Court and at Tribunals. She prides herself on giving clear practical advice which is both strategic and commercially focussed. She is known for developing strong, lasting relationships with her clients and believes this is absolutely paramount to delivering the best service that achieves the right result.

    Joanna studied in Liverpool and then went to the College of Law in York to undertake her Legal Practice Course.
