Profile:

Angela is an Associate and valuable member of the Trust Team managing the administration of the trusts.

Angela joined Brachers in 2011 as a Legal Secretary in the Private Client team. In 2012, she joined the Trust team as a Trust Administrator to assist with the day to day administration of trusts under our management and was promoted to Associate in 2023.

Angela has over 34 years of experience in the legal profession and has covered all aspects of Private Client work. This includes the administration of estates, managing the affairs of the elderly and vulnerable, wills and powers of attorney.

Recent Cases:
- Dealing with a Settled Land Act Trust. The trust property was vested in the name of the life tenant who had lost mental capacity and was therefore unable to give consent to the sale of the property. An order was successfully obtained enabling the trust property to be sold.
- Dealing with a Trust where the only asset of the Trust was a leasehold property giving a home for life to a relative of the deceased. Due to health reasons, the relative exhibited anti-social behaviour which resulted in the property management company taking action to forfeit the lease. Successfully negotiating with the management company to defer forfeiture whilst obtaining local authority assistance to rehouse the relative in more suitable accommodation. This enabled the property to be sold and the preservation of the trust asset.
