• Now in its thirteenth year, the CCS Awards champions the outstanding achievements of organisations, teams and individuals working for financial services providers, or central or local government.

Managing Partner, Joanna Worby commented on the team’s achievement:

“It is always an honour to be shortlisted for such an award, which is testament to the excellent team we have. They are high achievers with an excellent reputation and track record focussed on delivering the best customer care while still maximising recoveries.”

Robert Thompson is a Partner in Brachers’ Collections and Recoveries team and has been instrumental in the team’s success. He has over 30 years’ experience, specialising in debts due under Consumer Credit Agreements. He said:

“The team is most grateful for this prestigious nomination, which clearly recognises and rewards our hard work, innovation and dedication. It has been a year of change, with a range of radical new communication and other initiatives, including a new customer web portal as well as a new dialler. These improvements to communication and customer service have not only enhanced the customer experience but have also directly led to an increase in collections which has almost doubled over the last 12 months, along with the size of the team.

This has been an important part of our journey as we continue to strive to collect in a fair and compliant manner, keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do, while simultaneously demonstrating that this ethical approach also returns fantastic results. We consider that this nomination recognises and celebrates this success and we are very pleased to receive it.”

The overall winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at The Midland Hotel, Manchester, on 16 October 2019.
